Surrounded by members of her family, Laura Trahan Faul took the oath of office as Clerk of Court for Acadia Parish in ceremonies Wednesday afternoon at Main Street Patio.
With the oath, Faul becomes not only the first female clerk of court but the first female to hold a parishwide elected office in Acadia.
