As Tropical Storm Francine churned in the Gulf of Mexico the list of closures grew in the area on Monday
St. Landry Parish public schools were shutting down with early dismissal on Tuesday. The schools were to be closed Wednesday, which when Francine is expected to make landfall as a hurricane. Private and parochial schools also announced closings.
LSUE is closing Wednesday and Thursday.
