Hotel occupancy tax proposed

A hotel occupancy tax proposal is to be introduced at the August Eunice Board of Aldermen meeting. Mayor Scott Fontenot announced the proposal at Tuesday’s city meeting. The tax revenue would go to tourism and recreation, he said after the meeting. Fontenot said he does not have an estimate on how much revenue a tax would generate.
