Over the past two hurricane seasons, 800,000 claims were generated statewide following Hurricanes Laura, Delta, Zeta, and Ida. Because of this, insurance companies paid $23 billion to policy holders for damages.
Now that this hurricane season is under way, Louisiana Commissioner of Insurance Jin Donelon is embarking on his annual “Storm Tour” to raise awareness for upcoming hurricane events.
