School Superintendent Batiste thanks voters for tax renewals
St. Landry Parish Clerk of Court Charles Jagneaux won re-election to a ninth term in office in Saturday’s primary election.
Jagneaux won 74% of the 18,417 votes cast. Jagneaux received 13,713 votes to challenger Jan Deville’s 4,704 votes.
The clerk of court election was the lone parish-wide election for a office in the ballot.
The turnout in the clerk of court race was 32.1%.
