Chad Lemelle arrives at Central Middle School as its new principal. Lemelle served as the assistant principal at Eunice High School prior to his post at Central Middle.
Lemelle said, “It is a true honor and privilege to be selected to serve as the new principal of Central Middle School. I’m incredibly excited to begin this new chapter.”
Lemelle is a native of Eunice and the son of the late Clifton “Bro” Lemelle and Josie Parker Lemelle. Lemelle said, “I believe deeply in the potential of our local schools. My commitment to education is built on years of experience.”
Lemelle earned his undergraduate degree from Grambling State University in 1996 and advanced degrees, including a Master’s +30 in Educational Leadership, from Southern University.
Lemelle’s profession path included teaching at Eunice High School and holding leadership roles such as assistant principal and then principal at Crowley Middle.
Lemelle gained administrative experience in the Acadia Parish School system, where he served as the Head Start director for two-and half-years. Lemelle served as principal of Opelousas Junior High, and most recently, as assistant principal at Eunice “These diverse experiences have fully prepared me to lead Central Middle School with passion and purpose,” he said.
Lemelle serves on the Deacon Board at New Zion Baptist Church in Eunice. He is a member of the Opelousas Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., as well as a life member of the Grambling University National Alumni Association.
Lemelle is married to Fran Price, and is the father of four children, Robbi, Josi, Cayli and Hali.
“My focus will be on fostering an environment where every student can achieve enduring success and growth. I look forward to working with the Central Middle School family,” he said.
