A fundamental to school security is as simple as keeping doors locked.
Sgt. Thomas Kimrey gave that assessment to the St. Landry Parish School Board Executive Committee at meeting Monday.
Kimrey is heading a safe school program for St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz.
“Our greatest deficiency is real simple. Keeping the doors locked,” he said.
