LSUE has its songs

Dwight Jodon creates a fight song and alma mater
Attending the recording session by the LSU on the LSU Baton Rouge campus the LSU Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Damon Talley, LSU director of bands, included Dr. James Byo, director of the LSU School of Music,  Jase McDonald, former LSUE SGA president, now student at LSU, and Dr. Talley’s two grad assistants, Emmanuel Rodriguez and Christopher Song. Attending from Eunice were Dr. John Hamlin, LSUE vice chancellor of Academic Affairs, Travis Webb, LSUE director of public relations, Pat Dossman, Shirley Jodo
After 55 years, an LSUE alma mater and fight song are being rolled out in various venues in November. The songs will officially premiere at the Fall Commencement on Dec. 16. The songs are composed by Dwight Jodon. An official recording of the songs, performed by the LSU Wind Ensemble, was made on Nov. 2 on the LSU Baton Rouge campus.
