Dr. Stephen Guempel, retired vice chancellor for Academic Affairs at LSUE, was one of the last people to make a comment during the birthday party for LSUE’s 55th year.
The party was held in the recently renamed Dr. Anthony Mumphrey Center on the campus. Mumphrey was the first chancellor.
