Acadia Parish Sheriff’s deputies dispatched just after 7 p.m. on October 12 on La. 367 (White Oak Highway) discovered two people deceased from gunshot wounds.
According to the news release from Sheriff K.P. Gibson, the case is believed to be a murder / suicide.
The deceased persons were traveling to the Mamou area when the incident occurred near Richard.
