Kiwani’s Christmas Parade set Dec. 8
The Eunice  Kiwani’s Christmas parade is set for 5 p.m. Dec. 8 with the parade route beginning at North 2nd Street.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for children to visit with at the conclusion of the parade at the City Hall lobby.
Cookies and punch will be served. Children are encouraged to make a wish list for Santa.
 
ACT Prep class is Saturday
The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office will hold its ACT Prep class for Acadia Parish students from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 1037 Capitol Ave. in Crowley.
Lunch and snacks for the students will be provided.
There is no cost for the class, but registration is required. For more information, call Lana Benoit at 788-8722.

Christmas Ball fundraiser set Saturday
St. Mathilda “Women of His Story” (formerly known as Youth Group parents) will host its 12th annual Christmas Ball fundraiser from 9 to 2 a.m. Saturday.
The festivities will take place at the Bishop Caesar Center on N. MLK Drive. Pre-sale tickets may be purchased for $10 per person   or $15 at the door of the evening.
Formal to semi-formal attire is required.
Door prizes will be awarded during the event. DJ will be The Hitman-Tommy C.

Pictures with Santa at fire department
The Eunice Fire Department will have Pictures with Santa Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and again Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. with all proceeds to benefit Toys for Tots.
Pictures are $5 and will be taken with Santa at the Central Fire station at 100 Park Ave. Rain or shine pictures will be taken.

Jolly Jingling Christmas set Dec. 8, 9
The Eunice Community Concert Choir, Band and Children’s Choir will present A Jolly Jingling Christmas Dec. 8 and Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Liberty Center in Eunice.
There will also be an art exhibit by the Fine Arts Council of Eunice (FACE).
Tickets are $5, Children under 12 -$2.

Crafts For Kids senior project Dec. 10
Eunice High School seniors Kelsey Courville, Hollie Heinen, Katlyn Joubert and Elise Velez will have a Crafts For Kids as their senior projet on Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Eunice Community Art House.
The cost is $15 per child with all proceeds to benefit Toys for Tots.
The project is designed for kids ages 5-8, and ages 9-12. Times are set for 1- 3 p.m. for ages 5-8, and 3:30 until 5:30 p.m. for ages 9-12.

DeVillier posts holiday office hours
State Rep. Phillip DeVillier will close his district office from Dec. 26 to Jan. 3.
The office’s normal hours are 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

ECCBC Children’s Choir rehearsals
The Eunice Community Children’s Choir will have rehearsals for the 2016 Christmas concert at 6 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Eunice.
Children will sing during the ECCBC Concert & Choir Christmas concert set for Dec. 8 and Dec. 9 at the Liberty Center at 7 p.m.

FBC Christmas Musical set Saturday
First Baptist Church of Eunice will present a Christmas Musical Drama, “Come Let Us Adore”, on Saturday, Dec. 3 and Sunday, Dec 4 at 7 p.m.
Come Let Us Adore was created by Russell Mauldin andSue C. Smith and is a story about discovery, love and a promise. It will feature the FBCE Choir and actors Chloe Bollich, Lennie Boulet Ashley Bourque, Jennifer Fowler and Pierre Martel.
The public is invited.

Eunice Food Bank Food Drive Dec. 6
The 30th annual Eunice Food Bank Food Drive will be Dec. 6 from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Eunice Food Bank located at 251 W. Park Avenue.
All non-perishable food items will be accepted, along with all canned goods, toiletries, staples, and monetary donations.
Volunteers are needed on the day of the drive. Plastic bags are also needed.

American Legion, VFW, DAV party set
The American Legion Eunice Post 129, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Disabled American Veterans will host their annual Christmas Banquet for members and spouses at the VFW Hall (Hwy. 190 East) on Monday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m.

Moody College of Business launches ‘Business and Breakfast’
The B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette has launched a “Business & Breakfast” program, which offers businesses the opportunity to recruit and interact directly with business students at the College.
The program, in turn, enables students to network with – and learn more about – the visiting company.
As the exclusive host for the morning, the visiting company provides breakfast for the students, while the College provides setup and all promotions. For businesses seeking to meet with specific types of students, targeted partnerships with student organizations and majors are available.

FBC Chataignier presents a Musical
The church choir of First Baptist Church in Chataignier will present a Christmas Musical, “The Gift Goes On,” at 6 p.m. Dec. 11 and Dec. 18 at 10 a.m.
The public is invited to attend.

Junior Auxiliary Jingle Bell today
The third annual Junior Auxiliary of Eunice’s Jingle Bell Rock & Run 5K will be held at 6 p.m.  today.
Pre-registration is Nov. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. and again prior to the race time.  Early bird registration is $25, registration is $30 and late registration is $35.
Registration forms can be picked up at the Mayor’s office at City Hall and at Gossip Boutique.

Library host Christmas craft day Dec. 21
The Eunice Public Library will host a Christmas Make and Take a Craft day on Dec. 21 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. for children ages 2-10, while supplies last.
