Grab & Go meals for kids through Aug. 5
Restoring God’s Glory Ministries is part of the summer feeding program for kids.
Lunches will be available through Aug. 5. There will be a cooked lunch and snacks served daily from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Southeast Neighborhood Center, at 101 City Ave. in Eunice.
There will be a Grab & Go/Curb side pick up for the meals. There will be delivery available upon request.
Forms must be completed prior to receiving eligible meals.

Clovis Crawfish books on sale
The City of Eunice is selling Clovis Crawfish books by Mary Alice Fontenot as a fundraiser for the city’s 125th anniversary.
Anyone wishing to buy a book is asked to call 337457-7389 or 337-305-3672.

Eunice Farmers’ Market opens
The Eunice Farmers’ Market is open to the public on Wednesday and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon on the grounds of Eunice Community Gardens, located behind the DMV building at 2101 West Ash.

Three O’Clock meals distribution continues
The Three O’Clock Project meal distributions will be given out at New Zion Baptist Church every Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
A requirement is that your child Must be present inside the vehicle to receive food.
One box contains seven days of lunches and seven days of breakfast. The boxed meals includes frozen and healthy entrees. One gallon of milk, as well as fresh fruit, was given out to one box of food.
Any child, enrolled in school, 18-years and under, is eligible for a meal.

VFW bingo, VA van trips canceled
The VFW bingo nights have been closed by order of the governor until the coronavirus issue has passed.
Also the Veterans Administration (VA) has cancelled all VA van trips to the VA facilities until further notice.
Veterans with appointments should contact their VA facility for further information about cancellation or rescheduling.

Vet organizations seek members
The three veterans organizations in Eunice are looking for new members. American Legion Post 129, VFW Post 8971 and the DAV chapter are welcoming new members.

Mt. Olive Cemetery volunteers needed
Families of the Mount Olive Cemetery, located at 1199 E. Ardoin (on Old Crowley Road), are in dire need of volunteers for lawn maintenance, grass mowing, and up keep of the cemetery. It is a public cemetery, established many years ago.
Family members of families buried at this cemetery are asked to help in the upkeep.

St. Louis Cemetery asking for donations
The St. Louis Cemetery, located at the corner of St. Louis Road and Sittig in Eunice is seeking donations for the upkeep and maintenance of the cemetery. The cemetery strictly operates by donations and volunteers. The cemetery is not a private one.
Families who wish to donate are asked to send to Keith Lavergne, cemetery manager, at St. Louis Cemetery, P.O. Box 325, Eunice, LA 70535.

Free hearing aids, amplified phones
Free amplified telephones and hearing aids are available to Louisiana residents. The program is funded by a state agency, Louisiana Commission for the Deaf.

Funeral honor guard for vets needs help
A foundation has been set for the St Landry Parish Veteran Funeral Honor Guard and now it needs donations to become a reality, according to Lincoln “Link” Savoie, coordinator.
