Drive-thru COVID-19 testing today
There will be a drive-thru COVID 19 testing from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Eunice Health Unit Thursday.
The location is at 131 City Ave.
For testing, pre-register at health.questdiagnostics.com/stlou.
Results will be available online within four to five days. There is no cost for the COVID-19 testing. Wear a mask. It is a self-administered nasal swab test.

Rotary food drive is underway
The annual Spirit of Christmas Food Drive sponsored by Super 1 Foods is here.
Eunice schools will collect canned goods for the drive through Monday.
The Rotarians will pick up all canned goods from each school on Tuesday.
Rotarians will plan to deliver food to needy famiies on Dec. 19.
The class at each school that has collected the most canned goods will be awarded with a pizza party, given by the Rotary.

Clovis Crawfish books on sale
The City of Eunice is selling Clovis Crawfish books by Mary Alice Fontenot as a fundraiser for the city’s 125th anniversary.

VFW bingo cancelled
The VFW Post 8971 will not hold Bingo due to Covid-19 restrictions.
VA van trips are available again
The Veterans Administration (VA) has started making van trips to the facilities, Tuesdays and Thursdays. One is asked to meet at the Eunice City Hall parking lot.

St. Louis Cemetery asking for donations
The St. Louis Cemetery, located at the corner of St. Louis Road and Sittig in Eunice is seeking donations for the upkeep and maintenance of the cemetery. The cemetery strictly operates by donations and volunteers. The cemetery is not a private one.

Funeral honor guard for vets needs help
A foundation has been set for the St Landry Parish Veteran Funeral Honor Guard and now it needs donations to become a reality, according to Lincoln “Link” Savoie, coordinator.
