Players’ Theatre gift certificates available
The Eunice Players’ Theatre has gift certificates for the 51st season in 2021.
Tickets or a gift certificate for $30, will allow a recipient to see three plays, the opportunity to easily reserve their seat with a quick phone call, and the privilege of voting for the Irving Awards. Angel and Patron packages are also available.

Tickets purchased for what was to be our 50th season in 2020 will be honored for 2021. A new ticket does not have to be purchased.
Rotary food drive is underway
The annual Spirit of Christmas Food Drive sponsored by Super 1 Foods is here.
Rotarians will plan to deliver food to needy famiies on Dec. 19.
The class at each school that has collected the most canned goods will be awarded with a pizza party, given by the Rotary.

Vitalant blood drive set for Dec. 30
LAFAYETTE— Vitalant encourages new and existing donors of all blood types to give one last gift this holiday season by giving blood for patients in need
All Vitalant blood drives and donation centers follow strict protocols to ensure the safety of donors, patients and staff, including checking temperatures, social distancing, requiring face masks along with other precautions.

Clovis Crawfish books on sale
The City of Eunice is selling Clovis Crawfish books by Mary Alice Fontenot as a fundraiser for the city’s 125th anniversary.

VFW bingo cancelled
The VFW Post 8971 will not hold Bingo due to Covid-19 restrictions.
VA van trips are available again
The Veterans Administration (VA) has started making van trips to the facilities, Tuesdays and Thursdays. One is asked to meet at the Eunice City Hall parking lot.

The three veterans organizations in Eunice are looking for new members. American Legion Post 129, VFW Post 8971 and the DAV chapter are welcoming new members.

St. Louis Cemetery asking for donations
The St. Louis Cemetery, located at the corner of St. Louis Road and Sittig in Eunice is seeking donations for the upkeep and maintenance of the cemetery. The cemetery strictly operates by donations and volunteers. The cemetery is not a private one.

Free hearing aids, amplified phones
Free amplified telephones and hearing aids are available to Louisiana residents. The program is funded by a state agency, Louisiana Commission for the Deaf.

Funeral honor guard for vets needs help
A foundation has been set for the St Landry Parish Veteran Funeral Honor Guard and now it needs donations to become a reality, according to Lincoln “Link” Savoie, coordinator.
