ELTL announces spring registration
The ELTL will hold its spring registration now until Jan. 26.
Players will play for 12 weeks and is set on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. The first date of play is set for Feb. 2.
Registration fee is $25 which includes balls and an end of the season social.
Any woman, 18 years and older, are welcomed to join. A player must be knowledgable with tennis rules, etiquette and keeping score.

March of Life set Jan. 22 in Eunice
The annual March for Life is scheduled for noon Jan. 22 beginning at Picou’s Drug Store on 2nd Street for a socially distanced march to the Eunice City Hall in prayerful silence for a concluding prayer.
Organizers encourage groups to participate with banners, logos and signs to represent their organization.

EHS Alumni elections set Feb. 3
The EHS Alumni Association will hold its elections at 6 p.m. Feb. 3 at Eunice High School.
All lifetime members are encouraged to attend.

Eunice Men’s Retreat set for Feb. 4-7
The annual Eunice Area Men’s Retreat will be held at Our Lady of Oaks Retreat House in Grand Coteau beginning Feb. 4 through noon Feb. 7.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, only 40 rooms are available. For room reservations call Don Mayeux at 457-9610 or 457-7624 as soon as possible.

Clovis Crawfish books on sale
The City of Eunice is selling Clovis Crawfish books by Mary Alice Fontenot as a fundraiser for the city’s 125th anniversary.

VFW bingo canceled
The VFW Post 8971 will not hold Bingo due to COVID-19 restrictions.

VA van trips are available again
The Veterans Administration (VA) has started making van trips to the facilities, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Riders are asked to meet at the Eunice City Hall parking lot.

Vet organizations seek members
The three veterans organizations in Eunice are looking for new members. American Legion Post 129, VFW Post 8971 and the DAV chapter are welcoming new members.

St. Louis Cemetery asking for donations
The St. Louis Cemetery, located at the corner of St. Louis Road and Sittig in Eunice is seeking donations for the upkeep and maintenance of the cemetery. The cemetery strictly operates by donations and volunteers. The cemetery is not a private one.
Families who wish to donate are asked to send to Keith Lavergne, cemetery manager, at St. Louis Cemetery, P.O. Box 325, Eunice, LA 70535.

Free hearing aids, amplified phones
Free amplified telephones and hearing aids are available to Louisiana residents. The program is funded by a state agency, Louisiana Commission for the Deaf.

Funeral honor guard for vets needs help
A foundation has been set for the St Landry Parish Veteran Funeral Honor Guard and now it needs donations to become a reality, according to Lincoln “Link” Savoie, coordinator.
