Satellite Social Club BBQ fundraiser set
The Satellite Social & Civic Club Inc. will have its annual BBQ Fundraiser from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. July 16.
Pickup will be at the Southeast Neighborhood Center Pavilion, 101 City Ave., Eunice.
The fundraiser dinners include: a pork steak sandwich with a drink and chips for $9; chicken leg quarter with a drink and chips for $7; and hot link with a drink and chips for $6.
There will also be a community activity of a blood drive and voter register drive. The first 30 blood drive donors will get $1 off the price for BBQ.

ECCBC Summer Concert July 14, 15
The Eunice Community Concert Band & Choir will host a Summer Concert
“It’s Al Right,” at 7 p.m. July 14 and July 15 at First Baptist Church in Eunice.
Tickets are now on sale and available by calling 457-1776 or at the door at $5 for adults and $2 for children under 12.
Tickets on sale for ‘Charlotte’s Web’
Tickets are on sale for “Charlotte’s Web” at Eunice Players’ Theatre.
The production is for the children’s summer workshop directed by Lauren Bourgeois, Becky Broussard and Jody L. Powell. The classic tells the tale of a special friendship between a barnyard pig and a special spider.
Performances will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. There is no dinner theatre for this show. Tickets are $10 for ages 10 and under and $15 for everyone else.

Back 2 School Health Fair at New Hope
New Hope Fellowship will host a Back 2 School Health Fair beginning at 10 a.m. July 23.
The event is free to all school age children, and children must be present. What to expect are free backpacks, haircuts, free food, school supplies, uniform shirts, new shoes, face paintings, fire truck, United Blood Services, and much more.

Eunice Symphony Orchestra resumes
The Eunice Symphony Orchestra has resumed rehearsals and concerts after a two-year hiatus due to COVID. There are openings for new members, particularly string players.
Rehearsals are the second and fourth Mondays of each month, with several anticipated concerts on the horizon.

Farmers’ Market open on 2nd Street
Beginning June 1, the Eunice Farmers’ Market will return to its summer schedule of 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday and Saturday.
The market has fresh produce in season, pecans, local honey, free-range eggs, jams, pickles, and baked goods.

VFW bingo Thursday & Sundays
The VFW Post 8971 will hold Bingo. The public is invited each Thursday and Sunday at 7 p.m. to play Bingo at the VFW Hall located on Hwy. 190 East. All proceeds from Bingo games goes back to the community.
There will be a New game offered.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children) volunteers are needed in Evangeline and St. Landry Parish.
Requirements are to be at least 21 years of age, have a clean criminal history, and completed a pre-service training.

St. Louis Cemetery asking for donations
The St. Louis Cemetery, located at the corner of St. Louis Road and Sittig in Eunice is seeking donations for the upkeep and maintenance of the cemetery. The cemetery strictly operates by donations and volunteers. The cemetery is not a private one.
