Children’s choir rehearsals set
The Eunice Community Children’s Choir will have rehearsals for the 2017 Summer concert at 6 p.m. Friday and July 7 at the First Baptist Church, Eunice.
The children will sing during the Eunice Community Concert Band & Choir’s Christmas concert at the Liberty Center, at 7 p.m. July 13 and 14

Genealogy society to meet in Lafayette
Genealogy 101, a workshop/round table is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 1, at the Lafayette Public Library, downtown location, 301 W. Congress St., Lafayette. The St. Mathilda KPC Ladies Auxiliary will have a Poboy sale on July 12 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Boy Scout Troop 425 recruitment drive
The Boy Scout Troop 425 is conducting a recruiting drive for boys interested in joining Scouting.
The age group being targeted for recruitment are boys aged 11 through 13. Boy Scout Troop 425 is based in Eunice and is sponsored by VFW Post 8971, also in Eunice.

St. Thomas More KC BBQ sale set July 9
The St. Thomas More Church Knights of Columbus will have a BBQ fundraiser on July 9.
Tickets can be purchased at St. Thomas More office or from any KC member. Tickets will also be sold at each weekend Mass until July 9.
Tickets are $8 each. BBQ plates will include Boston Butt pork steacks with all trimmings.
Pickup between 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Free child car seat installation
Free installation of child car safety seats is being offered from 4 to 6 p.m. every Monday at Word Ministries, 1960 W. Laure Ave., Eunice.
The seats will be installed by a nationally certified technicians.
Joseph Celestine-Rosenwald reunion
The Joseph Celestine/Rosenwald 10th biennial school reunion will be held July 21-23 in Mamou at the Celestine Community Center, 222 Hickory St., Mamou, at 7 p.m. July 21 and concluding on July 23 with a morning worship service at St. Ann Catholic Church in Mamou.

Summer Fun Camp at Jean Lafitte set
The Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve’s Prairie Acadian Cultural Center in Eunice will accept applications for Camp Bonjour, a week long camp for kids ages 6-8, and 9-12.
Children can participate in summer day camps:
Ages 9-12, July 10-14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. $50 fee.
Ages 6-8, July 17-21, from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. $30 fee.
Registration is limited to 20 campers per session.

FCWC co-ed softball tourney set July 15
Faith Christian Worship Center will sponsor a co-ed softball tournament July 15 at the Mamou ball park, 1513 Ortwein Road.
Team entry fee is $225 and there will be prizes for the first and second place teams.
This tournament is a fundraiser to help send FCWC kids to camp.
