The La Table Française des Opelousas meets every last Wednesday of the month at Le Vieux Village, 828 E. Landry Street at 8:30 a.m.
This month’s meeting will be held on May 29.
Games of Acadiana raffle slated
LAFAYETTE – Starting May 31 through June 15, Miles Perret Cancer Services is hosting Games of Acadiana: Acadiana’s Ultimate Scavenger Hunt.
The virtual scavenger hunt will feature over 75 missions and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Players can download a free app, perform fun tasks, and earn points for a chance to be entered into a raffle for fabulous prizes including a grand prize of $10,000.
While the scavenger hunt will be free to play, individuals can also purchase Games of Acadiana raffle tickets by visiting the Miles Perret Cancer Services office or online at milesperret.org/raffle. Tickets are $20 each and will ensure an automatic entry into the drawing for a chance at over 50 prizes. Prizes include gift cards to local businesses and restaurants, tech and electronic prizes, and a $10,000 cash prize.

Come Lord Jesus Anniversary Mass set
The Come Lord Jesus Anniversary Mass will be held at 4 p.m. May 28 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile.
There will be a potluck supper, and everyone is asked to bring a dish to share.

FBC Chataignier BBQ fundraiser set
First Baptist Church of Chataignier will have a BBQ fundraiser from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, June 1. Suggested donation is $12.
The lunch plate will include pork steak, rice dressing, and baked beans.

Prairie Acadian Cultural Center sets free events
The Prairie Acadian Cultural Center is holding events off-site in May.
Read with a Ranger is scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Eunice Public Library, 222 2nd St., Eunice.
CDA Court 208 leads Rosary in May
The Catholic Daughters of Americas Court 208 will lead a Rosary everyday at 5:30 p.m. in May in front of the Blessed Mother statute. On Sundays in May the time will be 5:15 p.m.

Spring Into Summer Classic Car & Truck Show set June 1
A Spring Into Summer Classic Car & Truck Show, presented by the Eunice Main Street, will be held with registration beginning at 8 a.m.
The event will be held June 1 at downtown 2nd Street in Eunice. Those wanting to show 1985 and older vehicles are welcomed. Registration is from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. There will be over 85 speciality awards given at 2 p.m. All entrants will receive an event T-shirt and dash plates. The event is sponsored by Eunice businesses.

Farmers’ Market open on 2nd Street
The Eunice Farmers’ Market is open every Wednesday and Saturday morning, weather permitting, from 9 a.m. noon. The market is located on South 2nd Street between the library and Café Mosaic.
The market has fresh vegetables in season, free-range eggs, local honey, and a variety of jams, pickles, and baked goods.

Veterans Affairs office open in Eunice
The Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs has relocated its office in Eunice to the Northwest Community Center at 501 Samuel Drive.
The office is open every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. except for State and Federal holidays. Call 337-546-4056 to set up appointments, and can assist veterans and their families with obtaining VA benefits. This includes filing claims for compensation, pension, education, and much more. The service is free.
Zoe Zetty of the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs is the veteran assistance counselor.

VFW bingo Thursday & Sundays
The VFW Post 8971 will hold Bingo. The public is invited each Thursday and Sunday at 7 p.m. to play Bingo at the VFW Hall located on Hwy. 190 East. All proceeds from Bingo games goes back to the community.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children) volunteers are needed in Evangeline and St. Landry Parish.
Requirements are to be at least 21 years of age, have a clean criminal history, and completed a pre-service training.

St. Louis Cemetery asking for donations
The St. Louis Cemetery, located at the corner of St. Louis Road and Sittig in Eunice is seeking donations for the upkeep and maintenance of the cemetery. The cemetery operates by donations and volunteers.
