The St. Landry Parish Council is limited to hiring two people and one of those employees is being considered for a raise at its meeting scheduled at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Old City Market, 131 W. Bellevue St., Opelousas.
Council Clerk Sherell Jordon is up for a raise from her $23.38 per hour rate to $30 a hour.
