In lieu of the state not qualifying to receive FEMA assistance, Gov. Jeff Landry is helping parishes that were hardest hit by the storm on April 10.
During the storm, St. Landry was hit by two EF-1 tornadoes in Port Barre and Washington.
St. Landry Parish Government has 10 days to pick up debris left over from the storm starting on Monday.
