Prairie Acadian Cultural Center programs
The following are upcoming programs at the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center, 250 W. Park Ave., Eunice. The Prairie Acadian Cultural Center is one of six sites in Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, which is part of the National Park Service.
Rendezvous in the Prairie
A free music performance. From swamp pop to zydeco, listen to an assortment of local musicians.

Bourré Club
On the first and third Friday each month play the local card game, bourré, Free to play, and all experience levels welcome.

Fiber Arts Club
Bring your crafts to the Fiber Arts Club on the first Thursday and second Friday each month. Whether you sew, knit, or weave, if you are working with cloth, thread, or fiber, you are welcome to join. Needle Arts are a long and universal heritage for all people, and this club intends to help preserve these skills for more people to enjoy in the future. All experience levels and ages welcome. Participants must bring their own supplies.

Read with a Ranger
Enjoy a children’s story time with a park ranger. On the last Saturday of each month, listen to a story and complete a craft with park rangers. Explore our park and south Louisiana through reading.

Culture, Cuiture et Chansons
Culture, Cooking, and Songs. In partnership with Balfa Week, the Center is offering cooking and singing programs in French. Beginners welcome. Registration is required for this free day of programs. Located at the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center, 250 W. Park Ave., Eunice.
