Sales tax revenues up, but growth slows

The surprising fact is sales tax revenue in St. Landry Parish grew during the COVID-19 pandemic, but the report for February indicates the march of growth is slowing. The decreases were found in comparing January to February collections. The parish sales tax collections through February totaled $14,876,674, up 6.2% or $873,724 over the first two months of 2021.
