Saturday’s election drew 2,793 early votes

The election Saturday drew 2,793 early votes, according to the Louisiana Secretary of State’s geauxvote.com website. Early voting ended on March 16 with polls in Eunice and Opelousas. The in-person count was 1,626 votes. Another 1,167 absentee votes have been cast.
