The St. Landry Parish School Board approved a reorganization plan on a 11-2 vote at a special meeting on Thursday.
The only opposition to the plan during the meeting was voiced by those opposed to closing Washington Elementary School. The school with about 120 students will be used to expand Washington Career & Technical Education Center.
