The St. Landry Parish School Board approved a tax district for the Opelousas High School attendance zone on an 8-4 vote on Monday.
The tax district is to narrow the school district’s focus in raising funds for school improvement after voters defeated parish-wide bond proposals this year and in 2018.
But the School Board did not set an election date and discussions cast doubt that will be done…
