The St. Landry Parish School Board approved state-funded stipends of $2,000 to certified staff and $1,000 to support staff this fall.
The Board voted for the stipends at a special meeting on Sept. 21
Long-term substitutes are to receive $1,000 stipends.
Pre-kindergarten staff will be paid from the district’s General Fund. They were excluded from the stipend under state guidance.
