A proposal to provide a $1,000 pay raise for all full-time St. Landry School Board employees beginning July 1 was sent back to committee.
Superintendent Milton Batiste III said he worked with finance consultant Shaun Grantham and determined the raise could be funded through the Employee Compensation and Benefit Fund which is supported by a 1 cent parish-wide sales tax.
