The St. Landry Parish School Board approved a plan to revamp elementary education in Opelousas at a special meeting Thursday.
The vote required the Board to reallocate about $7 million in federal ESSER funds from Grolee and Northeast elementary schools to convert Opelousas Junior High School to a kindergarten through eighth grade facility.
