Germaine Simpson won reelection to the Ward 2 Board of Aldermen set in a runoff election on Saturday.
Simpson won her fourth term with 54% of the 388 votes cast. Challenger Jacqueline “JuJu” Vallare won 180 votes.
Turnout, according statistics at the secretary of state’s website, geauxvote.com, was 23.8%.
