Para-professionals are increasingly asked to perform teacher duties and their pay should reflect that, said Willie Guillory, president of the St. Landry Federation of Teachers and School Employees.
In a letter to the Board, Guillory asked the Board “to create a pool of qualified, experienced teachers in the parish to increase student achievement for the students we serve.”
