St. Landry Parish public schools may ditch masks mandate

After two years of COVID-19 precautions, the St. Landry Parish School Board may be poised to eliminate the requirement to wear masks in schools.
A mask mandate for school buses will remain due to federal requirements.
The Board’s Executive Committee on Monday approved sending a proposal to make masks optional in schools to the full Board’s March 3 meeting.
