After a nearly 90 minute closed-door session, St Landry Parish school Superintendent Patrick Jenkins was voted a 12-month contract extension.
The vote at Thursday’s School Board meeting occurred in front of a crowd that seemed against the contract.
However, with the room capacity limited, that crowd was small compared to the about 2,000 people employed by the school system.
