Darrell Ray Johnson, 24, of Eunice was arrested and charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and felony indecent behavior with a juvenile.
According to Eunice Police Chief Kyle LeBouef, “On Oct. 8, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Eunice Police responded to a complaint in the 100 block of Tamaran Loop in reference to alleged sexual intercourse and contact between an adult male and a 16- year-old juvenile female.”
“The investigation revealed that the adult male, later identified as Darrell Ray Johnson, 24, Eunice, and the juvenile had been having sexual intercourse on at least 3 or 4 occasions within the last few months. The examination of text messages and other social media platforms by officers verified that the relationship had in fact been going on between the two for some time.”
“Officers were also able to seize physical evidence at the scene which will be submitted to the crime lab for forensic examination. On Oct. 11, Johnson was arrested and charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile, and felony indecent behavior with a juvenile. He was transported to the St. Landry Parish Correctional Center and booked accordingly.”
“This is an active investigation, and more charges are expected.”
