The Eunice Community Health Center’s biggest fundraiser is coming up,
The 11th annual Taster’s Choice — the Eunice Community Health Center’s biggest fundraiser — is scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Mumphrey Center on the LSUE campus.
There will be different food categories to enter including general entree, seafood, wild game and desserts. There will be winners announced from each category at the event. The public gets to vote on their favorites.
Geno Delafose & the French Rockin’ Boogie will provide live entertainment.
A silent and live auction will be held.

All proceeds will go to the Eunice Community Health Center.
The health center is vital to the Eunice community as it serves and provides under insured and no-insured prescriptions. The clinic is located at 450 Moosa Blvd. Suite E in Eunice. Donations are accepted year round. The clinic’s phone number is 337-457-1205.
Yancy Fontenot executive director, said, “I’m excited for this event and looking forward to it. Our community is always supportive.”
Glynn Michaud, Center board president, clinical director and pharmacist in-charge, said, “We have amazing sponsorships, and gained new ones. The city of Eunice has been extremely supportive with this event. Taster’s Choice is our biggest fundraiser. The event draws a huge crowd. There is a huge need, and all the monetary support from the people, goes back to the clinic for those in need. The clinic receives no government assistance therefore we rely on donations and fundraisers.”
Michaud said that there are 20 cooks locked in thus far and he is expecting more. The deadline to enter is Monday.
