The Tri-Parish workforce dropped by 740 to 68,234 people in July, according to data released by the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics.
In the same report released by the Louisiana Workforce Commission, unemployment rates remained at historic lows in statistics not adjusted for season factors. The state unemployment rate in July was 3.3%, down from 4.4% in June and from 4.2% in July 2022.
