Church Point is no stranger to the rain, having endured water in homes and business during the Flood of 2016 as well as flooded streets during heavy downpours.
But clear skies, in the form of two planned detention ponds funded by a $2.9 grant from the Louisiana Watershed Initiative, will hopefully alleviate future water woes in the community.
