Moosa Memorial Hospital

The St. Landry Parish Council approved $10,000 as its share of removing asbestos from the old Moosa Memorial Hospital.
Parish President Jessie Bellard recommended the approval at Wednesday’s meeting.

Longtime Moosa Memorial Hospital administrator Douglas C. Longman Sr. died on Sept. 4. He was 90 years old.

Grant money will be sought through the Acadiana Planning Commission as an avenue to fund the demolition of the vacant and decaying Moosa Memorial Hospital.
