Virus claims 16 lives in St. Landry Parish

The Louisiana Department of Health is attributing 16 deaths in St. Landry Parish to COVID-19.
As of noon Wednesday there has been 116 cases of the virus in the parish.
In the state, there have been 21,951 cases and 1,103 deaths. The state reports 1,943 people are hospitalized and 425 of those are on ventilators.
The virus has been founded in a 64 parishes.
In Acadia Parish, there have been 105 cases and five death.
In Evangeline Parish, there have been 40 cases and no deaths.
In Lafayette Parish, there have been 375 cases and 16 deaths.
In St. Martin Parish there have been 178 cases and 10 deaths.
In Pointe Coupee Parish, there have been 53 cases and four deaths.
In Avoyelles Parish, there have been 64 cases and three deaths.
