Eunice Mayor Scott Fontenot said the budget he will present at Tuesday’s Board of Aldermen meeting will include a $1 an hour raise for city employees.
The raise is the first “substantial” increase for the employees in 12 years, he said at Thursday’s meeting to set the agenda for the meeting. The employees have received an annual 1% raise, he said.
