A 63-year-old Melville man, Douglas P. Gerace, has been charged with sexual battery against a juvenile female.
According to St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz, on Wednesday detectives determined that Gerace was questioning the juvenile about athletic activities and hugged her after receiving a response.
