‘Crimes of the Heart’ opens Wednesday

The cast of “Crimes of the Heart” is putting the finishing touches on a scene from the play set to open Wednesday at Eunice Players’ Theatre. The two-act comedy by Beth Henley is set in 1970s Mississippi, with the story revolving around the Magrath family in upheaval following a surprising turn of events. In this scene, the Magrath sisters, played by Sarah S. Andrepont, Ava Stanford, and Lauren B. Bourgeois, reminisce over a scrapbook. Other cast members include Ian Drake Bellon, Kelly P. Bertrand, and Nathaniel Clark. Performances will be held Sept. 18, 19, 23, 26, 27, 28 at 7 p.m. The matinee is at 2 p.m. Sept. 22. Dinner theatre (with steak and trimmings) is at 6 p.m. Sept. 25. In commemoration of EPT’s 50th anniversary season, opening night features Gold Night, with complimentary wine and cheese served to guests. All seats are $15; dinner is an additional $20. for all parties. Season ticket packages are still available. Tickets can be purchased at Beaucoup (114 S. Second St.) or by calling 337-550-4727 to charge by phone. Visa and MasterCard are accepted for advance sales but not at the door.
