A recording-breaking $1,454,769 was raised during the second annual South Louisiana Giving Day. In total, 104 nonprofit organizations, churches, and schools participated in the fundraising event.
More than 2,000 donations from 34 states and two countries were received. There were 598 new donors compared to 2018. At least $691,900 in matching gifts were distributed.
Community Foundation of Acadiana and its sponsors awarded $30,000 in cash prizes to the top performing organizations. You can view the winners at www.solagivingday.org.
