5 properties are on Eunice city agenda

The owners of five properties in Eunice placed on Tuesday’s Board of Aldermen meeting may end up being forced to clean up or find their properties demolished.
The properties were placed on the agenda at a meeting Thursday in the mayor’s meeting room
The city meeting is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Eunice Municipal Complex.
Show case hearings are planned for 580 Lewis St., owned by Raymond Washington Jr.; 210 E. Oak St., owned by Lucy Leday; and 571 Halsey St., owned by Albert Dupre; 250 Julia St., owned by Sherry Fontenot; and 403 S. 10th St., Lot 4, owned by Angellica A. Perace.
Other items on the agenda include:
— Changing the city’s February meeting date from Feb. 13, which is Mardi Gras, to Feb. 14.
— A retail alcoholic beverage permit for Fred’s Store.
— Consider raising rental and deposit fees for the Northwest and Southeast centers.
— Consider a lease-purchase of a new fire truck. Mayor Scott Fontenot the truck is to cost about $400,000.
— Approve using grant money to buy 36 air bottles for the Fire Department for $672 each.
