6 days remain for early voting

St. Landry Parish voters have six more days of early voting, which ends July 4.
At the end of voting Thursday, 1,302 votes had been cast in St. Landry Parish. Of those votes, 277 were in person and 1,025 were absentee, according to the Secretary of State’s website.
The Presidential Preference Primary is on the ballot. Only Democrats and Republicans can cast a vote for the Presidential Preference Primary.
Grand Coteau voters will decide on a millage proposition for fire protection.
Hours for voting are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Voting locations are:
— Registrar of Voters Office, Suite 114, 118 N. Court St., Opelousas; and
— Eunice City Hall, 300 S. 2nd St., Eunice.
Statewide 94,181 votes had been cast at end of voting Tuesday. Of the votes, 55,792 were cast absentee.
