AeroShell Aerobatic team joins fly-in at Opelousas

The AeroShell Aerobatic team will appear at the St. Landry Parish Airport’s second annual Fly-in and Vintage Warbird Epo scheduled Friday through Sunday.
The AeroShell Aerobatic team will arrive Saturday morning and perform some non-aerobatic flying, formation flyovers and then stop in for a visit before departing Saturday afternoon.
The centerpiece of the fly-in is World War II B-17 bomber. Also planned for the show is a C-45, Helldiver, T-6 and Stearman biplane.
Visitors will get an opportunity to see the B-17 up close, tour the aircraft and see it in flight.
The event will also feature airplane rides, food trucks, classic cars, RC airplanes, live music and activities for youth.
The fly-in schedule is: 6 to 10 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday; and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Admission is $15 for a vehicle with up to two people and $20 for vehicles with three or more people.
