Andrepont announces for Ward 1 alderman

Chad Andrepont announced he will be a candidate for Ward 1 alderman in the upcoming November Eunice City Council primary election.
Andrepont, 38, was born and raised in Eunice. He is the son of Chet and Teresa Andrepont, as well as the grandson of Wilma and the late Aubrey Andrepont and Joseph and Vern Weeks. He is married to Kasey Chaumont Andrepont. They are the parents of Hendrix, Scarlett, and Maxwell and are expecting their fourth child, Simon, in August.
Andrepont is a 1997 honor graduate of Eunice High School. He attended LSUE for two years, where he served in the Student Government Association for a year. Andrepont transferred to LSU, graduating in secondary education as a biology and general science major. He is currently attending Louisiana College to obtain his master’s degree in educational leadership.
Andrepont and his wife, Kasey, attend New Hope Fellowship church and are also both teachers at Eunice High School. He serves as head of the science department, Fellowship of Christian Athletes sponsor, assistant football coach, and head basketball coach. As head basketball coach at Eunice High, Andrepont led his team to the St. Landry Parish and District championships in the 2015-2016 season. Before coming back home to Eunice, Andrepont also taught and coached at Christian Life Academy in Baton Rouge. He served as assistant coach in 2012 when Christian Life won the Class 1A basketball state championship.
The qualifying period is July 18-20.
