The St. Landry Parish Solid Waste Landfill in Beggs and the Eunice and Opelousas Recycling Centers will have all entrances to the main buildings closed to the public until further notice.
Richard LeBouef, executive director of the St. Landry Parish Solid Waste Disposal District, also stated the receiving building at the landfill will only complete transactions through the teller drawer.
At this time, all standard operations will continue.
These changes will not affect any curbside waste or recycling pickup, nor will it affect residential or commercial dumping at the landfill.
We are asking everyone to contact the office prior to any business visits, he stated.
