Bengal Day held at LSU Eunice

LSU Eunice held a Bengal Day Thursday for all incoming students and returning students. The event began in one of the conference rooms inside the Acadian Center.
LSUE Chancellor Dr. Nancee Sorenson welcomed all students. She spoke about the programs the junior campus offers. She met one-on-one with individual students in the room, and asked their name, where they were from, their major, and their goals and dreams. Sorenson then spoke a little bit about herself and her educational background. She said, “We here at LSUE have an open door policy. We are here to help you. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.”
Kyle Smith, dean of admissions, gave a slide-show presentation of LSUE and all the programs the junior college offers, the college’s athletics program, admissions, and much more. Each student was given an informative packet of what the campus offers, programs, athletics, admissions, payment plans, degrees, etc. Student workers were on hand assisting students on all information provided inside the packets.
Students also had the opportunity to take a complete tour of the campus and the Bengal Village. They also had the opportunity to meet with their division head faculties.
The Bengal Day concluded with a luncheon provided by the campus.
