Christmas season arrives in full Thursday for Eunice

The Christmas season arrives in full this week in Eunice.
Bring your children to the annual Kiwanis Christmas parade at 5 p.m. Thursday. The parade will begin at North 2nd Street, and continue to South 2nd Street, then make its way on Park Avenue, circle around the Circle Park and conclude at the City Hall parking lot.
An award will be given for the best Christmas float. Kids can enjoy a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus inside the City Hall lobby. There will be refreshments served also.
At 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday the annual Christmas Concert, “Dashing Through The Snow,” will be presented by the Eunice Community Choir Concert Band and Children’s Choir at the Liberty Center.
Also on hand during the concert will be an art exhibit by FACE, (Fine Arts Council of Eunice).
Some musical selections will include “Baby Born in Bethlehem,” “Riggin up the Lights,” “What Will Santa Claus say?” and much more.
Tickets are $5 for adults at the door, children admission is $2, under 12. Tickets can be puchased ahead by calling 337-457-1776.
