Devillier receives SPAH award

Jerry Devillier of Eunice learned from S.P.A.H. (Society for the Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica) that he was the recipient of the 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award. He was informed of the award on Aug. 15.
The S.P.A.H. is the largest international harmonica organization which features many of the greatest harmonica players worldwide.
Devillier was informed via live broadcast on Youtube that he was selected by a panel of his peers as the recipient of 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award.
It was part of the organizations award ceremony that culminates its four days of teaching and live performances to large gatherings of people that usually attend the organization’s conference held annually at a major city.
Due to Covid 19 virus it was performed on live stream.
Devillier continues to be an ambassador for Cajun music and its culture on a worldwide platform.
